For all the progress updates:
Book Progress Update: End of August 2026
Not much progress to report. I spent the whole month traveling, so I only processed a few books over the past few weeks. Aside from the travel, the last days were blow after blow from life on different fronts. That also brought my work to a halt.
Of all I’ve read and studied on happiness, there is no single definition that can encompass every aspect of it. What I can say with more certainty is that if there is an exact opposite of happiness, with all it represents, it is what I am enduring now.
Amor Fati?
For the current bibliography:

Strange you should mention the opposite of happiness. I have just almost finished (another) fiction trilogy and thought to myself yet again - I am so tired of the happy endings.
I mean they’re pretty, and fuzzy and magical but they are not real.
Real life is gritty and cruel and unfair and I want to read about how heroes and heroines deal with their plans never working out, with life knocking them to their knees, with not getting the one thing they wanted more than anything, and what makes them still get up again and again.
Not some random twist of fate that suddenly ends in a happy ever after that would likely never actually happen in real life.
Life is struggle and it is pain and the only choice we have is how we approach that fact.
Amor Fati indeed 💜
